Another piece part of .EPOD’s latest ‘FUTURSTALGIA’ series, LIF.E is a double portrait that is representative of the artist’s multi-medium style. Neon colours bounce across the canvas, evoking a sense of movement and energy that is unrivalled by many others in .EPOD’s portfolio of work.
LIF.E in particular seems very driven by narrative, the glow of circular pools of yellow lava that reflects off of the figures easily directs viewers into using their imagination. A contrast to their other works, this piece in particular feels post-apocalyptic, giving way to a technologically advanced society that emerges from the dust. As far as .EPOD’s artistic style is concerned, there is a clear confidence and coherence between subject and medium which easily directs the viewer into an imagined narrative.
